DEPENDING ON FAITH

He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering." Mark 5:34

Hurricane Katrina slammed into the Gulf Coast on August 28, 2005. One of the casualties of that storm was White Dove Fellowship International Outreach Center in Harvey, Louisiana. Harvey is located some 4 feet above sea level and there was heavy damage to the entire city. Reverend Michael Mille pastors White Dove Fellowship. Services were suspended at their facility for three weeks until September 18. He then preached to 300 people during the first service after the hurricane. His church normally had over 3,000 in attendance. During an emotional sermon, Reverend Mille offered a unique, Christian perspective on the tragedy and how it had affected his congregation, saying: "We have successfully planted people all over the U.S." He also noted, "We used to sing Jesus is all we need and now he's all we've got."

Are you at the end of your strength? Then turn to Jesus and trust in His strength. Today in prayer, stop trusting in you and place your faith where it never fails, in Jesus Christ.

Have you ever been in a situation that seemed so hopeless, so impossible, that you felt that even God Himself, might not be able to handle it? At this moment, there are marriages that are in serious trouble, relationships are damaged, businesses about to go bankrupt, finances going south and a plethora of other seemingly impossible situations that discourage us enough to want to quit. But giving up has never been and never will be God's answer to any impossible situation. As a matter of fact, it's only when things turn impossible that God does His best work.

Michael Mille

God's Word: Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment.
Matthew 9:22
